Inspired by trips and tastings in the dark cellars under Pilsen, Sklepník Ve Dřevě Old Pilsen Inspired Pale Lager - Wood Edition is our humble homage to the original pilsner. A portion of Sklepník both fermented and spent three months conditioning in two French oak barrels. The beer was then moved into stainless where it was krausened (read: naturally carbonated) with fresh fermenting wort.

The result is our most ambitious lager to date.

After a pleasant perfume-like oaky hit, a signature Saaz spice and caramelized malt depth (thanks to a triple decoction mash) precede a gentle wave of bitterness in the finish that ties a lovely bow. Pillowy, unfiltered but refined, Sklepník Ve Dřevě - Wood Edition is our respectful nod to a timeless classic.
