HARU
MAIBOCK – 6.4% ABV
It's bock season and with that comes the release of HARU 春 Maibock (meaning “Spring” in Japanese)
When the sakura in Japan bloom their thousand shades of pink, it signals the winter has ended, and Haru has arrived. Flowers bloom in the tentative warmth of springtime in Germany, too, and with them a beer to usher us out of the cold and into the sun: Maibock. A noble hop profile presents up front in the mode of fresh cut grass and spice atop a rich malt character - dense coffee cake and a hint of hazelnut will come to mind. Haru finishes with a clean and rounded flourish, backstopped by an agreeable alcohol warmth that will see you through the passage of spring.
